Balkar Singh was working as a labourer on a construction site of a building in Karnal (Haryana).
On 10 Jun 2020, he accidentally fell down and fractured his spinal cord. After MRI it was revealed that the fracture is so severe that even surgery cannot enable him to stand up on his feet. He will be bedridden for a lifetime.
Gareeb ki Gullak Foundation is on a mission to help him to move around by giving him an electric wheelchair.
For this purpose, we approached Medical Equipment manufacturer who has agreed to provide an electric wheelchair for a sum of Rs. 48,000. We have received donations totaling Rs. 47,902. We are going to order the electric wheelchair soon and present it to Balkar Singh in Karnal. Photograph will be shared soon.
